To be perfectly honest, I think that no matter what’s transpiring in the world, which currently is a lot, we should continue, if possible, to experience the world and all its beauty. Because of our access to tech and media, it’s become a constant for us to take on, consume and be bombarded with almost every and anything. We’re distracted, pretending, neurotic, and struggling to connect. Something has changed. It’s deep, eerie, plague like, but we’ve collectively accepted it as the norm. Our new way to exist. However, when I put my phone down and take a step outside I don’t see what my phone is projecting. People speak and smile, my neighbor leaves lemons on may front porch from time to time and the other trims the bush that grows too big in front of my bedroom window. Kids always greet me with a smile and animals seem to be doing their thing and enjoying their days. I have a duty and a right to produce and curate a life that actually gives me hope instead of grief, peace instead of war. My only question to you is, which reality are you choosing to consume, your own of the one they’re feeding you? I Belong Nowhere is intended to introduce people to spaces that add value, experiences, and relationship.
